The steering committee was formed in 1907 from several Perthshire Clubs with its Chairman Ex Ballie James Anderson. It was Instituted in 1907 with its first President Mr W Duncan from Perth West End, who served two years as president before handing over in 1909 to Mr J Patterson from Almond Valley. The Patrons at this time were recorded in the minute book until the start of the first world war as shown in table 1 below.

During the first world war years Mr J Bruce of Kinnoull served as President (1914-1918) after which life progressed to the second world war where again Kinnoull provided the President in Mr W Asher who served as President (1939 and 1940) to be followed by Messrs. Murray, Douglas, Gorrie, Kemp and McGlashan from Invergowrie, Perth West End, Spittalfield, G.A.F.L.A.C. and Glenfarg & Arngask respectively. Thankfully there have been no further World Wars and Bowls has progressed along its path until today without interruption.
Over the years a number of bowlers have been honoured with membership of different organisations, and table 2 gives some idea of the spread of activities. (The writer apologises if persons have been missed please let him know and they can be added).
