Welcome to the Perthshire Bowling Association website. Its purpose is to keep our Member Clubs in Perthshire updated with fixtures, events, results, and news from around the area. Information can be found for all the Perthshire Championship games that we organise for Members throughout the year together with the County and Senior matches played throughout the season. Encouragement is given to add a Club event to the events page at the beginning of the season and there is contact information or direct link to a website for every Club in the area.

Of course the website is reliant on receiving information from clubs but for our part we will do our upmost to make sure anything we receive is added to the website in timely fashion; however, if anything is spotted which looks unusual please let us know for correction.

The PBA was established in 1907 and celebrated its centenary a few years past. Thanks to all the organisers and sponsors that make our Championships, and of course to the Umpires for their continued help throughout. I hope that the 2024 season will go smoothly and include the Campbell Trophy Tornament, which will be on the 21st June.

During 2025 the Andrew Hamilton Trophy will be played by all Scottish Counties, and the operational organisation will be provided by Scottish Cities & Counties Bowling Association of which we are members. Bowls Scotland will remain custodians of the Trophy.

The Under 25s will hopefully play in all the competitions which include the Jim Bell Trophy, Top 10 and within the league. and will, I am sure, build on the solid base of last season.

Congratulations to Dunning BC & Glencarse BC who will represent the PBA at Inter County level during 2025.

I look forward to to meeting many of you on the green and if you have any suggestions for improvement in anything we do come and talk to me.

Yours in sport
James Scott
President.
