Perthshire Bowling Association was founded in 1907. We run various Championship competitions throughout the year for Under 17s to the Over 60s. We compete in the Andrew Hamilton Trophy and North Section Senior Trophy which sees us travelling all over Northern Scotland. We have a Sponsorship co-ordinator who can be contacted at W. Opportunity
We are currently looking for sponsorship from small business, individuals, corporate & public bodies for the above competitions.
The opportunities for the sponsor of competitions include:
* Exclusive advertising for your entity on our website
* Advertising on Perthshire Bowling Association (PBA) competition strip
* An invitation to the final of the competition.
* Your own pop-up advertising displayed at the Final
* Promotion of your entity via scorecards and social media pages
What Opportunities are there for me to Sponsor?
Junior Championship competitions
There are Championship competitions for both Under 17s and Under 25s. We require each year sponsorship of the trophy, medals and prize money. Sponsorship can be any category or the whole competition.
The development of the Juniors means that teams are picked to compete at Inter County competitions and should any sponsor be interested in this aspect please let us know so that we can provide further information.
Adult Championship competitions
These comprise individual competitions of Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours, Senior Singles, and Senior Fours. We would require sponsorship for medals, and for some other gift for winners and perhaps runners up. The PBA already has Trophies for each competition but the sponsors name can be added to the competition for promotional purposes.
Adults also aspire to several competitions leading to Scottish wide finals and these are outlined below:
Top 5 & Top 10 – As the name implies teams of 5 or 10 players in separate competitions play for a trophy at Perthshire level. Sponsorship is required for medals and prize money for the winners. The winner each year then is automatically entered into the Inter County competition. This entails travel throughout Scotland.
Andrew Hamilton Trophy – This comprises a selected team of 24 travelling throughout Scotland playing other Counties and is generally played over seven weeks between May and the end of June each year. Sponsorship is offered for PBA strip and for travelling by coach to some venues.
North Senior League – This comprises a selected team of 16 Senior players that play at home and away throughout Scotland on an Inter County basis. Sponsorship is offered for PBA strip and for travelling to some venues.
Committee – Meets once per month through the year and travels with the teams throughout Scotland. It is elected each year at the AGM and currently comprises eleven members including the President and officials. As new members are elected and old members retire sponsorship is required for shirts and jackets. The President is expected to speak at all functions of the Association including all home and away matches and Finals. His travelling is considerable and sponsorship of his travel or use of a car for a period would be appreciated.
The Committee also provides a website for the benefit of its members at www.perthshirebowlingassociation.co.uk There are charges for the upkeep of the website through hosting and name registration together with the provision of computer and camera equipment. The Committee would point out no fees of any kind are taken by any individual associated with the PBA and that all the work is done on a volunteer basis and through the good auspices of Sponsorship.
